Are you interested in detection and quantitation of minor variants in mixed samples for your current CE projects but find it challenging?
The ab1PeakReporter is a new bioinformatics utility tool which provides numerical peak height data of Sanger sequencing traces so that base peak characteristics (e.g., allele proportions) can be studied quantitatively. The cloud-based tool is free for anyone with a Life Technologies user account.
The attached Application Note describes tools and methods for extracting and using peak height data from fluorescent Sanger sequencing traces for determination of allele ratios or allele quantification. Two software applications have been reviewed - 1) QSVAnalyzer; and 2) ab1PeakReporter.
